Julie Funk serves as the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Arizona since March 2019, after a distinguished tenure at Michigan State University where roles included Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Student Success. Julie's leadership encompasses all academic and clinical veterinary programs, focusing on faculty, admissions, and curricular coordination. Previous positions include Director of the Online Professional Master of Science in Food Safety and research in pre-harvest food safety epidemiology at Michigan State University and The Ohio State University. Julie holds a PhD and MS in Production Medicine/Epidemiology from North Carolina State University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, respectively, along with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University.
