Maryah Converse

Maryah Converse is an experienced educator and development professional with a diverse background in language instruction and data management. Currently serving as a Graduate Associate Teacher at the University of Arizona, Maryah contributes to the Arabic Flagship program. Previously, Maryah held various roles at HIAS, including Development Consultant and Development Operations Manager, where responsibilities encompassed data management and donor analytics. As an Arabic teacher and curriculum developer at Fluent City, Maryah designed and implemented a new curriculum, while additional experience includes vocational ESL instruction and adjunct teaching at Monroe College. Maryah holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona, alongside advanced degrees in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures and English Literature.
