Assistant Coach - Men’s Golf at The University of Arizona

Matt Walton is currently serving as the Assistant Coach for Men's Golf at the University of Arizona since June 2023, following a tenure as Assistant Men's Golf Coach at the University of Southern California from November 2020 to June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Men's Golf Coach at Wichita State University and Golf Coach at Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. Matt has also held the position of Director of Instruction at Correct2Compete, where responsibilities included managing daily operations and designing programs for high school teams and individuals. In earlier roles, Matt was General Manager of the Dye Course at The Legends Golf Club, focusing on junior golf development and PGA membership pursuits, and served as an Assistant Golf Professional, contributing to the growth of the game. Educational background includes a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of the Cumberlands and studies at Rend Lake College.
