Merrie Brucks is a distinguished academic in the field of marketing, serving as Professor of Marketing, Emerita at the University of Arizona since January 2020. Prior to this role, Merrie held the position of Eckert Professor of Marketing at the Eller College of Management from 1989 to January 2020. In 2007, Merrie served as President of the Association for Consumer Research. Earlier academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina from 1982 to 1989 and as a Graduate Research Fellow and Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University from 1977 to 1981. Merrie's educational background includes a PhD and M.S. in Marketing from Carnegie Mellon University, along with a B.S. in Management Science from the University of Rhode Island.
