Abby Schmid

Abby Schmid is an experienced event professional with a comprehensive background in strategic event management and coordination. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Events at the University of Chicago since January 2012, Abby has progressed through various leadership roles, including Senior Associate Director and Associate Director for Special Events, successfully managing large-scale events and complex budgets. Abby's experience also includes owning and operating Events by Abby, providing day-of coordination for weddings, as well as serving as a recruiter at The Evanston Group and managing operations at MJ Catering and Events. Abby holds a BA in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Anderson University.
