Adam Hammond is an accomplished professional in the fields of biophysical sciences and molecular genetics. Currently serving as the Director of Graduate Studies and Curriculum Director at the University of Chicago since August 2006, Adam has played a critical role in establishing a new PhD program. Previously, Adam co-founded Gendyne Therapeutics, Inc., where responsibilities included the commercialization of patents related to nucleic acid encapsulation and RNAi therapies from Cornell University, serving as the Chief Scientific Officer from November 2003 to July 2006. Earlier, Adam completed postdoctoral work at Cornell University from October 2001 to July 2006. Adam earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics & Cell Biology from the University of Chicago and holds a B.S. in Biology from Oregon State University.
