Andre Walker

Andre Walker, MBA, MA, CRA, currently serves as the Grants and Contracts, Pre-Award Manager at The University of Chicago since April 2006. Previous experience includes an internship as a Senate Aide in the Office of US Senator Richard Durbin (2004-2005) and roles in the corporate sector, such as Cash & Banking Projects Coordinator at bp (1999-2003) and Market Analyst at Amoco Corporation (1996-1999). Andre has also contributed as a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer at Quantum Chemical Company (1992-1994) and as a Project Engineer at Amoco Oil Company (1989-1992). Andre holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Purdue University (expected 2026), a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Additional educational background includes PhD coursework in Management Science at the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University.
