Peyton Cunningham is a dedicated scholar in the field of sociology, currently serving as a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Chicago since September 2022 and a Research Apprentice with The To&Through Project since September 2023. Previous experience includes program development with the Andy Roddick Foundation from September 2020 to August 2022, where Peyton enhanced capacity to support youth during the pandemic and developed resources for families transitioning to middle school. An independent researcher at Princeton University from September 2018 to May 2020, Peyton conducted a notable undergraduate thesis involving 55 interviews on social belonging and community among diverse student populations. Additionally, Peyton served as an Advising Fellow with Matriculate, mentoring low-income, first-generation high school students. Early training included receiving the Butler Fellowship for dance at Ballet Austin. Peyton holds a BA in Sociology from Princeton University and is pursuing an MA in Sociology at the University of Chicago, alongside studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
