Shawn Long has a diverse work history spanning over several decades. Shawn began their career in marketing with the Kansas City Comets in 1987 and continued in various marketing roles until 2001. In 1992, they became the Marketing Manager for the Chiefs Radio Network. In 2000, they briefly worked as the EMRG Marketing Manager for Entercom. From 2004 to 2008, they served as the Market Manager for TL Concepts. Following this, they joined KCTV5/KSMO - Meredith as the Sales Manager for Sports & Special Projects. In 2010, Shawn joined the Kansas City Chiefs and initially worked as a Senior Sales Manager before being promoted to Director of Sales in 2012. In 2015, they transitioned to The University of Kansas Hospital as the VP of Corporate and Community Outreach, where they currently hold the position.
Shawn Long completed their high school education at Grandview High School from 1982 to 1985. They then enrolled at William Jewell College from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Public Relations. In addition, Shawn briefly attended Indiana State University in 1985-1986, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
