Jody Thomas

Jody Thomas is an accomplished academic and practitioner in the field of social work, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and BSW Field Director at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke since January 2011. Jody also holds the position of Lecturer and Child Welfare Coordinator at the same institution. Prior experience includes roles as a Clinical Therapist at Family Alternatives, Director at Carolina Professional Mental Health Associates, Case Manager for At Risk Youth at Southeastern Regional Mental Health Center, and Social Worker for At Risk Youth at Family Alternatives. Jody's educational background includes a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University, a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
