Senior Principal Research Fellow And Associate Professor at The University of Queensland

Benn Sartorius is a Senior Principal Research Fellow and Associate Professor at The University of Queensland since July 2023, and an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington - School of Medicine since 2018. Previously, Benn served as a Senior Geospatial Infectious Disease Modeller and Global Health Epidemiologist at the University of Oxford from February 2021 to July 2023 and as a Senior Scientist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from April 2019 to February 2021. From September 2013 to March 2019, Benn held the position of Full Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the same field from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with an EPIET Fellowship in Applied Epidemiology from the Swedish Institute for Infectious Diseases.
