Christopher Leonardi has extensive academic and professional experience in mechanical and civil engineering. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland since April 2013, Christopher has also held positions as Senior Lecturer and Lecturer within the same institution's School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering. Prior to this, Christopher worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from April 2010 to December 2020 as a Research Affiliate and Postdoctoral Associate. Christopher's career began at Rockfield Technologies Australia Pty Ltd, where a role as a Computational Engineer and Senior Engineering Consultant spanned from January 2003 to April 2010. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from Swansea University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from James Cook University.
