Sarah McNaughton is currently a Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Discipline Lead for Nutrition and Dietetics at The University of Queensland, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, McNaughton spent nearly two decades at Deakin University, serving as Deputy Associate Dean Research, Alfred Deakin Professor, and holding several leadership positions within the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN). McNaughton has a strong research background, having been a NHMRC Career Development Fellow and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow, among other titles. McNaughton's educational credentials include a PhD in Population Health from The University of Queensland and multiple degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics from QUT and The University of Queensland.
