Laura O'Keefe is an experienced manager and researcher currently serving as the EPSRC Future Electrical Machines Manufacturing Hub Manager at The University of Sheffield, overseeing a £28 million initiative focused on advancing electrical machines manufacturing through collaboration with industry. Previously, Laura held multiple roles at The University of Manchester, including Business Engagement Officer and Project Manager for the EPSRC Supergen Bioenergy Hub, which aimed to enhance bioenergy contributions toward UK environmental targets. Laura's research experience encompasses various projects in sustainability, public perceptions of energy crops, and interdisciplinary research in food, water, and energy sectors. Before academic endeavors, Laura co-owned Dave and Nines Photography and worked as a Research Administrator at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in Food Scares and Consumer Buying Behaviour from Manchester Metropolitan University.
