Michelle Nolan

Michelle Nolan has extensive experience in higher education management, currently serving as Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Student) and Director of Academic Programmes & Student Engagement at The University of Sheffield since November 2014. Responsibilities include overseeing services that support academic program development, teaching delivery, and student engagement. Previously, Michelle held several leadership roles, including Director of Operations at Sheffield Hallam University and Director of Corporate Partnerships at The University of Sheffield, where strategic knowledge transfer activities were a focus. Michelle's career began at the University of Bradford, progressing from Assistant Registrar to Deputy President of the Students' Union. Michelle holds an MBA in Business Administration and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry & Chemical Technology from the University of Bradford.
