Jason Cantu has extensive experience in architecture and building science, with a focus on campus project management and historic preservation. From July 2017 to June 2022, Jason served as Architect and Assistant Director for Campus Projects and Space Utilization at The University of Southern Mississippi, overseeing design and construction projects across coastal sites while managing state and federally-funded initiatives. Prior roles include building science consulting at Morrison Hershfield and Apollo BBC, where Jason emphasized sustainable design and structural integrity. Earlier experience at Eubanks Group Architects involved managing custom architectural projects with a focus on historic preservation. Currently pursuing a PhD in Human Capital Development, Jason also holds a Master’s in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.
