Jonathan Kilgore

Jonathan Kilgore currently serves as the Associate Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at The University of Southern Mississippi since July 2016, where responsibilities include conducting various ensembles and teaching music theory, appreciation, and studio voice. In addition, Jonathan is involved with the Mississippi American Choral Directors Association, having held the positions of Past President and President since July 2014. Previously, Jonathan has been the Fine Arts Department Chair and Director of Choral Activities at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College since July 2008. Other notable roles include directing the Chancel Choir at First United Methodist Church Gulfport and serving as a Choral Activities Graduate Assistant at The University of Southern Mississippi. Jonathan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from The University of Southern Mississippi, along with a Bachelor of Science in Music from Millsaps College.
