Simon Horrocks serves as the Head of Learning Innovation & Development at the University of Stirling since August 2022, leading the newly established Learning & Teaching Enhancement team. Responsibilities include enhancing learning and teaching through evidence-based pedagogy and technology, as well as overseeing strategic projects related to curriculum development, learning spaces, and digital capabilities. Prior to this role, Simon held significant positions at Cardiff University, where as Academic Lead for Digital Education Strategy, contributions included developing a Blended Learning Framework and securing funding for digital education initiatives. Additional experience includes a strategic review at the University of Edinburgh's online programs, and an Assistant Director role at The Open University in Wales, focusing on student experience and enhancement activities. Earlier in Simon's career at the University of Wales, Lampeter, leadership involved managing academic departments and fostering international partnerships. Simon holds an MA in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick and an MA (Hons) in History from The University of Edinburgh.
