Ammar L. Ammar is currently serving as the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Technology and Information Security Officer at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, a position held since February 2015. Throughout a progressive career at the institution, Ammar has also occupied roles such as Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Interim Chief Information Security Officer, Deputy CISO/Director of Cybersecurity, Manager of Threat, Vulnerability, and IT Security, and IT Security Analyst. Prior experience includes a position as Desktop Support Analyst at Power & Telephone Supply from December 2007 to May 2013 and as a System Engineer at LSI from September 2002 to December 2007. Ammar holds a Master of Science degree from The University of Memphis, completed in December 2022, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from the same institution, earned in 2020.
