Jeremy Christopher Smith has a distinguished academic career, currently serving as Governor's Chair at the University of Tennessee since October 2006. Prior to this role, Jeremy held the position of Chair of Computational Molecular Biophysics at the University of Heidelberg from October 1998 to October 2006. Jeremy's earlier experience includes serving as Group Leader for Biomolecular Simulation at CEA from June 1989 to October 1998 and as a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from June 1985 to June 1989. Jeremy's educational background includes a PhD in crystallography from Birkbeck, University of London, completed between 1982 and 1985, and a BSc in Biophysics from the University of Leeds, obtained from 1978 to 1982.
