Daniel Scherr, Ph.D., CFE has a diverse background with experience in academia, military, and transportation industries. Currently serving as a Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity at The University of Tennessee Southern, Daniel has also worked as an Assistant Professor at University of Tennessee and Martin Methodist College. In addition to their academic roles, Daniel has taught various subjects as an Adjunct Professor at Western International University and held leadership positions at CSX Transportation and the US Army. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from Walden University, an MBA from American Military University, and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from North Carolina State University.

The University of Tennessee Southern is a four-year public institution, and part of the University of Tennessee System. Formerly Martin Methodist College, originally founded in 1870, UT Southern (established in 2021) sits on a historic campus located in Pulaski, TN, in the beautiful hills of southern Middle Tennessee. The university is home to the UT Southern Firehawks and is convenient to both Nashville (70 miles to the north) and Huntsville, Ala. (40 miles to the south).
