Esteban Soto

Esteban Soto currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Legal Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, Esteban worked at the Texas Attorney General's Office from October 2013 to August 2022, where responsibilities included serving as Chief of the Transportation Division, Deputy Chief of the General Litigation Division, and Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation Division. Esteban also gained experience as a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania from February 2012 to February 2013 and as an Assistant District Attorney at the Cameron County District Attorney's Office from February 2009 to February 2012. Esteban holds a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law (2004-2007) and an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University (1999-2004).
