Michael Uebel

Michael Uebel is a seasoned psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health and social work. Since May 2010, Uebel has served in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specializing in outpatient psychotherapy for military veterans, focusing on PTSD, mindfulness, anger management, and nightmare treatment. As the owner and psychotherapist at Stillpoint Counseling Services since January 2010, Uebel provides psychotherapy to adults, utilizing a mindfulness-based and humanist approach. Additionally, Uebel is a research affiliate at The University of Texas at Austin, collaborating on social work research, and has previously lectured on clinical social work techniques. Uebel's background also includes roles in medical social work, various psychotherapy practices, and a prior academic career as a professor of literature and critical theory.
