Sunil Narvekar

Sunil Narvekar is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in application development and big data solutions, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at The University of Texas at Austin since July 2005. In this role, Sunil has designed and developed applications for large-scale online classes and reusable components for the College of Liberal Arts website. Prior to this, Sunil worked as an Engineering Scientist at the Applied Research Laboratories, where a big data pipeline utilizing technologies like Spark and Hadoop was implemented. Sunil's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Developer at the IT Systems Middleware Development Team and a Core Services Developer at IBM Tivoli Software. Sunil began a career as a Software Engineer at Hummingbird and as an Information Systems Consultant at Metro Information Services. Educationally, Sunil holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and a certificate in Computers and Applications from the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai.
