Valeria Martin

Valeria Martin is an experienced higher education professional currently serving as the Assistant Director for Basic Needs and Terry Scholars at The University of Texas at Austin since July 2018. In this role, Valeria manages support initiatives addressing food insecurity and financial hardships among students, overseeing the campus food pantry and clothing closet. Previous positions at The University of Texas at Austin include Complex Coordinator and Assistant Complex Coordinator, where responsibilities included supervising Resident Assistants, creating safe living environments, and promoting diversity and equity in residential life. Valeria's experience also includes an internship at The University of Alabama focused on orientation programs and an earlier role as a Dean of Students Intern at Saint Mary's College of California.
