Jeyakesavan Veerasamy

Jeyakesavan Veerasamy, PhD, serves as the Director of the Center for Computer Science Education & Outreach and a Professor of Instruction at the University of Texas at Dallas, where responsibilities include planning and executing programming workshops and enrichment initiatives for students, as well as teaching courses in programming languages and overseeing UTDesign Projects that connect undergraduate students with local industry sponsors. Prior to this role, Jeyakesavan held positions as a Sr. Staff Engineer at Samsung Telecommunications America, focusing on CDMA wireless network troubleshooting and optimization, and as a Software Engineer at Nortel, where contributions included developing wireless switch features. Jeyakesavan's academic qualifications include a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
