Melissa Hernandez Katz

Melissa Hernandez Katz currently serves as an Associate Professor of Instruction and the Director of Training and Education at The University of Texas at Dallas, a position held since January 2023. Previously, Melissa held the role of Associate Professor of Instruction at the same institution from September 2019 to January 2023 and served as a Senior Lecturer and Assistant Director of Engineering & Computer Science Undergraduate Advising from 2007 to 2019. Prior experience includes being a Senior Academic Counselor at the University of North Texas from November 2001 to August 2007 and a Professor at Lone Star College in 1999. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Higher Education from The University of North Texas, a Master of Arts in Communications from St. Mary's University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Texas Lutheran University.
