Bishop Sand

Bishop Sand is an experienced audio producer and reporter currently working at The Washington Post since March 2019. As the host, creator, and producer of the Qualia Podcast since April 2017, Bishop focuses on immersing listeners in scientific and philosophical concepts. Previous positions include creative producer at Goat Rodeo, teacher at Dwight School where curricula in science subjects were designed and taught, and host, reporter, and producer for the Sift podcast. Bishop has also contributed as a temporary producer at WNYC Radio Radiolab and completed an internship there. Bishop holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education from City College of New York and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
