Daron Taylor

Daron Taylor is a seasoned professional in the field of animation and video production, currently serving as a Lecturer in Animation at the University of California, Berkeley, where the focus is on teaching design and storytelling techniques in digital journalism. Since January 2016, Daron has held the position of Senior Motion Graphics Designer at The Washington Post, managing independent video projects that encompass producing, scriptwriting, editing, and animation across various topics and formats. Previous experience includes roles such as Video Producer at the AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation and Freelance Video Editor/Graphic Designer, as well as earlier positions with Discovery Communications, National Geographic Society, and WFSU TV/FM Public Broadcasting. Daron holds an M.A. in Communications from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Media Production and Film Studies from Florida State University.
