Douglas MacMillan

Douglas MacMillan is a seasoned business journalist with extensive experience in technology reporting. Since April 2019, Douglas has served as a Business Reporter for The Washington Post. Prior to this role, Douglas worked as a Technology Reporter for The Wall Street Journal from June 2017 to January 2019 and had a previous tenure at the same publication from October 2013 to July 2016. Douglas also completed a Knight-Bagehot Fellowship at Columbia Business School from August 2016 to June 2017. Earlier career milestones include positions as a Technology Reporter for Bloomberg LP from May 2010 to October 2013 and a Staff Writer at BusinessWeek.com from June 2006 to April 2010. Additionally, Douglas gained early experience through editorial internships at Adotas and Rolling Stone Magazine. Douglas holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Fiction Writing from Vanderbilt University.
