Matt Hamel is a seasoned media professional with a diverse background in broadcasting and content creation. Currently serving as an On Camera Presenter, Content Creator, and FAST Channel Curator at The Weather Network since July 2022, Matt excels in hosting live broadcasts and producing content for a Smart TV platform. Previous roles include Play-by-Play Commentator for various sports organizations since December 2017, and Weather Specialist/Host at CTV News from April 2021 to June 2022. With experience as News Director and Talk Show Host at 730 CKDM, News Anchor at Newstalk 610 CKTB, and other positions, Matt has honed skills in reporting, anchoring, and engaging audiences across multiple platforms. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Radio and Television from Humber College and a Bachelor's degree from Brock University in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
