Paul Johnston, M.Sc., is a seasoned Senior GIS Analyst at The Weather Network, with experience managing geographic databases and ensuring the accuracy of geographic content across various media platforms since July 2004. Prior to this role, Paul served as a Newspaper Production Assistant, utilizing design skills and geographic knowledge to produce weather maps for Canadian newspapers. Academic experience includes a Research and Teaching Assistant position at the University of Guelph, where field research was conducted in coastal environments, alongside teaching support for undergraduate courses. Paul also held roles at Credit Valley Conservation and Conservation Halton, focusing on field data collection and GIS dataset management. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Physical Geography and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and GIS from the University of Guelph.
