Derek Cayton has an extensive work experience in the real estate development industry. Derek started their career at Maricopa Community Colleges as an Accountant Assistant, where they handled budget creation, financial data input, and financial reporting. Derek then joined Gray Development Group/Gray Construction, LLC, where they held various roles such as Project/Construction Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, Development Analyst, and Project Director/Development Associate. In these positions, they were responsible for project accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and assisting with site selection, project financing, and obtaining necessary permits. In 2015, Derek joined The Wolff Company as a Senior Director, working directly with the Vice President of Development and Construction on all real estate development matters. Derek later became the VP of Development Management, overseeing development operations.
Derek Cayton attended the University of Arizona from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance.
