Rafael Fernández is an experienced technology executive with a diverse background in software development, geospatial analysis, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Investing Partner and CTO at TheFringe/LABS, Rafael is instrumental in bridging expertise gaps and enhancing processes for early-stage businesses. In a concurrent role as Chief Technology Officer at a&m Consultores, Rafael develops strategies and policies in technology and infrastructure management. Previous roles include Director of Engineering and Senior Software Engineering Manager at uDA. urbanData Analytics, where Rafael collaborated on project planning and drove team performance. With a solid foundation in GIS and software engineering from various positions, including GIS Analyst for the City of St. John's and Full Stack Software Developer at LOOKNorth Centre of Excellence, Rafael holds degrees in Geography, Surveying Engineering, and Military Technologies.
