Theory-Praxis Collective
Theory–Praxis Collective is an independent UX research lab founded by Tejaswini Joshi, PhD, focused on centering people’s lived realities in the design of digital systems. We specialize in qualitative, ethnographic, and interpretive research for mission-driven organizations, civic tech, and design-forward teams. Our work bridges critical theory and practical application — using methods like contextual inquiry, journey mapping, and narrative synthesis to help teams see more, understand more, and design with integrity. We believe that research is not just about extracting insights. It’s about building relationships, understanding nuance, and creating space for reflection. With expertise in public services, socio-technical systems, and emergent technologies, we help organizations reimagine how their tools, products, and platforms show up in the lives of real people. Let’s build better systems. Thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with care.
