Melissa Smith has a strong background in credentialing and compliance. Melissa started their career at Medstaff in 2004 as a Quality Processor and was later promoted to Quality Assurance. In this role, they ensured that nurses met all compliance requirements. Melissa then joined Staffing Plus in 2008 as a Compliance Rep in Human Resources, where they handled credentials for independent contractors and ensured they met state requirements. In 2011, they joined Therapy Source, Inc. as a Credentialing Specialist, where they built a credentialing department and supported the sales team in compliance. Melissa was later promoted to Credentialing Manager, responsible for the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Contracts and Credentials at Therapy Source, Inc. where they oversee the credentialing department and ensures compliance with state and Department of Education guidelines, as well as managing the growth and future compliance requirements of the company.
Melissa Smith's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Melissa completed their studies in the field of Education in 2002, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree. Following this, they enrolled at Delaware County Community College from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, specifically an ASN.
