Aziz Sawaf

Aziz Sawaf, MBEE, MBA, CFA, has extensive experience in finance and leadership within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Since June 2014, Aziz has held various senior roles at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc., culminating in the position of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Prior to this, Aziz worked at Gilead Sciences from January 2011 to June 2014, contributing to R&D and commercial finance as an Associate Manager and Senior Financial Analyst. Early career experience includes a summer internship at Amgen and consultancy at Applied Analytix, along with finance roles at Wholelife Connect, Inc. Aziz earned a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology (MBEE) from The Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Arizona.
