Yu Cao

Yu Cao is a highly experienced professional in product management and research, currently serving as a Senior Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2021, where responsibilities include driving software product success, gathering stakeholder requirements, and collaborating across teams to shape product strategy. Previously, Yu held the title of Principal Research Scientist at Battelle from 2016 to 2019, focusing on designing analytical assays, maintaining client relationships, and mentoring junior staff. Prior to that, Yu worked as a Research Associate and Post Doctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University from 2011 to 2016, specializing in analytical method development and animal experiments for pre-clinical trials. Earlier research experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Georgia State University from 2006 to 2011 while pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry and Biochemistry, complemented by an M.S. in Biochemistry from the same institution and a B.S. in Chemistry from Lanzhou University.
