Jorge Salazar has extensive work experience in data engineering. Jorge started their career as a Data Engineer PEY Intern at theScore, Inc. in 2018, where they worked as part of the Analytics team. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining the main data warehouse on Amazon Redshift, assisting analysts with their work by creating tools and scheduling tasks, performing data ingestion for internal and external partners, and transferring scheduled Cron jobs to the new Apache Airflow scheduling system. Jorge also created scripts and tools for data ingestion and processing, as well as updating SQL charts code on Periscope. Jorge later joined theScore as a Data Engineer in July 2020, and they were recently promoted to the position of Technical Lead, Data Engineering in March 2022.
From 2015 to 2020, Jorge Salazar attended the University of Toronto, where they pursued an Honours Bachelor of Science (H.B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.
