Thiel Fellowship
Spencer Hewett is the Founder and CEO of RADAR, an innovative RFID and computer vision platform that automates inventory management, analytics, and checkout processes for retailers generating over $100 billion in annual sales. Since May 2012, Spencer has been a Thiel Fellow at The Thiel Foundation, which supports young innovators by providing financial grants and mentorship. Previously, Spencer founded Skip, a project developed during the Thiel Fellowship focused on autonomous retail checkout, and co-founded Bazaarboy, a platform akin to Craigslist for college students. Spencer's early career included internships at eBay and Ciright Systems, as well as co-founding Frigid Computer, which developed a competitive high-performance cooling system. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, along with participation in Y Combinator and Stanford StartX.
