Lauren Berkman has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Lauren started their career as a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Public Administration at Binghamton University from August 2011 to May 2013. Lauren then joined Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a Session Assistant II from July 2013 to November 2015, where they scheduled and organized physician practice sessions and acted as a liaison between patients, families, and the clinical team during office visits. From November 2015 to July 2017, they worked as a Patient Services Coordinator at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where they conducted daily rounds, collaborated with the multidisciplinary team, and resolved issues for improved communication and patient experience. At NYU Langone Health, Lauren served as a Patient Relations Specialist from July 2017 to July 2018 and later became a Practice Manager from August 2018 to March 2021. Their responsibilities included managing practice operations and patient relations. Lauren then worked as a Practice Administrator at White Plains Hospital from March 2021 to December 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Practice Operations at Thirty Madison starting from December 2023.

Lauren Berkman has a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Binghamton University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies at SUNY New Paltz from 2007 to 2011. In 2010, they also studied Communication and Media Studies at the University of Haifa for a short period.
