Lou Marchetti

Lou Marchetti is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in optical and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Telescope Engineer at TMT International Observatory LLC since October 2022, Lou previously held positions at Coherent Inc. as a Sr. Staff Development Engineer and at Zygo Corporation, where responsibilities included managing a team of engineers and overseeing significant projects such as the development of EUV projection optics modules. Prior to Zygo, Lou worked at ASML as a Sr. Systems Design Engineer, leading a long-term project focused on EUV lithography mirrors, and contributed to various projects at Silicon Valley Group. Lou holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
