Melanie Reitz has extensive experience in development and public relations, currently serving at Thistle Farms since September 2014. Prior experience includes a role as Project Coordinator at John Ryan International, where Melanie worked on digital marketing system installations in bank branches. Additionally, Melanie served as an Assistant for Justice for Women with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as a Lutheran Volunteer Corps member, focusing on research and communication. Previous positions also include Department Assistant in the Luther College Religion Department and Workshop Coordinator for Church Youth Fest at Luther College Ministries. Educational credentials include a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Music from Luther College.

Our 3 social enterprises provide jobs for survivors in Nashville, TN and around the world - as well revenue for our mission. RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM Our free, 2 year program provides survivors a safe place to live, a meaningful job, and a sisterhood of support. NATIONAL NETWORK The largest network in the United States committed to a housing-first model for survivors. Through our 44 sister organizations, over 350 beds are hosted across the country. GLOBAL SHARED TRADE A commerce platform that connects survivor artisans from around the world and provides over 50% of profits back to the artisan group for community development, women empowerment, healing, and education.
