Thomas Built Buses
Max Small has extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, currently serving as a Manufacturing Engineer in Chassis manufacturing at Thomas Built Buses since June 1997. In this role, Max has led the manufacturing aspects of EPA engine programs and new product launches while liaising with offsite design engineering. Previous roles at Thomas Built Buses include Manufacturing Engineer in Body manufacturing and Industrial Engineer in Chassis manufacturing, where Max implemented major process improvements and cost reductions. Prior to this, Max worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at BrassCraft Thomas, focusing on tool and machine upgrades and the development of in-house assembly machines. Max holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management with a concentration in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, earned between 1977 and 1981.
