Walter Kraft

Walter Kraft is an accomplished medical professional currently serving as the Chair of the FDA Pharmaceutical Science and Clinical Pharmacology Advisory Committee since 2021. In addition, Walter holds the position of Director of the Clinical Research Unit at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, which has been the role since 2006, primarily focusing on early Phase 1 and experimental medicine trials across various therapeutic areas. Walter has been a Professor at Thomas Jefferson University since 2001 and recently served as the President of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics from March 2023 to March 2024. Prior roles include Associate Medical Director of the Clinical Research Unit at Jefferson Medical College from 2001 to 2006. Walter’s educational background includes an MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, as well as a Master of Science in Pharmacology and various fellowships and residencies from Jefferson Health.
