The Senior Manager of Information Technology will direct and manage TJT’s IT operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. The Senior Manager will also set the IT strategy, understanding current and emerging technologies, to develop and implement initiatives ensuring the firm's future security and prosperity. This person will manage a team of three IT staff with expectations of growing the department over time. Additionally, the Senior Manager of IT will provide systems administration and related technical support alongside IT team members. This position will report to the COO and the partner group.  

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for hiring and providing ongoing direction, guidance, and training to IT staff
  • Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team
  • Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Prioritizes IT activities and focuses the department on the efficient and effective completion of tasks and initiatives 

Technical Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
  • Develops strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
  • Supports, troubleshoots, and maintains computer servers and networks  
  • Performs deployments and upgrades of business applications and computer equipment  
  • Executes Active Directory user administration and support  
  • Provides administration of Microsoft Windows desktops and servers and Office365/Azure administration  
  • Delivers audio/video conferencing support as needed   
  • Stays current with emerging technologies, including industry specific technologies
  • Develops and implements, through the focused management of staff, various IT initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 

Technical Requirements and Attributes for Success: 

  • Proficient in Active Directory (both Azure and on prem), Windows Server, IIS, vSphere, SAN, Office 365 & Intune 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to evaluate, decide, and implement strategic technological advances to enhance the company’s ability to improve work product and delivery of product to our clients 
  • Possess strong working knowledge of all networking protocols and IT security fundamentals  
  • Light PowerShell, HTML, and .NET coding experience is required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
  • Collaborate and communicate with the firm’s COO and owners of the company 

  Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems or a related field is required
  • 10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years of IT Management experience
  • 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • 5+ years working with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Microsoft/Office 365) in an enterprise environment
  • 5+ years working with Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, Active Directory, DNS, and Windows Systems Administration
  • General understanding with administrating/troubleshooting network storage/SAN technology, enterprise level LAN, WLAN, switching, firewall, and VPN technology
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Accounting and GAAP compliance requirements a plus

  Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times
