Renee Pedrazzani

Renee Pedrazzani is an experienced professional with a diverse background in optics and technical marketing. Currently serving as a Content Strategist and Technical Marketer at Thorlabs since April 2016, Renee previously worked at Luna Innovations from April 2011 to April 2016 as an Optical Scientist, where responsibilities included analyzing test results and providing technical support for telecommunication products. Prior roles include Post Doctoral Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate in Optics at the University of Rochester, focusing on semiconductor optical properties and optimization of VCSELs. Renee began a career at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies as a Member of Technical Staff Level 1, fabricating fiber optic gratings, and also gained early experience as a Cooperative Education Student at Allied Signal Bendix. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester and a dual degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
