Joel Salazar

Joel Salazar is an experienced Lead Data Engineer at Thoughtworks since April 2024, with a strong background in data engineering and software development. Previously, Joel served as Principal Data Engineer and held various roles including Senior Data Engineer and Cloud & Data Engineer at Itoc from March 2020 to April 2024. Prior to that, Joel was a Technical Manager at Next Instruments, where significant contributions included the development of platforms for agricultural data integration and next-generation NIR spectrophotometers. Joel's earlier roles included positions as a Research and Technological Development Professional at Fundación Instituto de Ingeniería and Software Developer at Venelectro, C.A. Joel holds a Master of Photonics and Optical Science from the University of Sydney, a Project Management Diploma from UCAB, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
