Shayan Mohanty

Shayan Mohanty serves as the Head of AI Research at Thoughtworks, a position held since April 2024, focusing on overcoming challenges in AI technology adoption. Currently a Guest Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory since April 2017, Shayan previously held the role of CEO at Watchful from July 2018 to April 2024 and worked as a Data Engineer at Facebook from February 2017 to July 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as a Software Engineer at Able Lending, where collaboration in small business funding was emphasized, and as Lead Engineer at TalkSession, leading technology in consumer healthcare IT. Shayan co-founded and served as CEO of Evolucix, ensuring profitability from inception, and was also a co-founder and CEO at FounderSchool, which focused on open-learning platforms. Additional experience includes leading product development at LearnShark. Shayan earned a degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016.
