Heather Hartland, CMP, CMM has over 20 years of experience in the events and meetings industry. Heather began their career in 1997 at Walt Disney World as a Disney Event Productions Event Coordinator. In 2002, they moved to Kodak Event Imaging Solutions as a Site Manager at the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom. In 2005, Heather joined Colorado Convention Center / SMG as a Senior Sales Manager. In 2013, they became a Senior Account Executive at Just Right! Destination Management. Here, Heather was responsible for planning corporate events in the USA. In 2014, they joined BCD Meetings & Events as a Team Lead, Event Logistics Manager, and later moved to Senior Event Logistics Manager and Program Manager. In 2021, Heather began their current role as Marketing Director and Event Manager at ThreatLocker. In this role, they are the Cyber Hero behind the Cyber Heroes securing networks with endpoint control for ease of use and data security peace of mind.
Heather Hartland, CMP, CMM has an education background that includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in Physical Sciences, Performing Arts, Communication with a minor in Business Administration from 1998 to 1999, and two years at Bowling Green State University studying Biology from 1995 to 1997. Heather has also obtained several certifications, including a Pandemic Compliance Advisor from Health Education Services in 2021, a Certificate in Meeting Management from Meeting Professionals International in 2012, a Certified Meeting Professional from the Convention Industry Council in 2006, Cvent Event Diagramming in 2020, Cvent Event Management in 2020, Cvent Venue Sourcing in 2020, and a Smartsheet Product Certified User from Smartsheet in 2020.
